Ongoing: Call for Artists

Artists are challenged to create new works of art inspired by their amazing adventures throughout the Eastern Sierra and beyond. All media accepted including written word. Artists are asked to submit a digital copy of their original artwork in the theme ‘Open Roads, Open Trails, Open Sky’ by April 10 to Annemarie@monoarts.org. Artwork due at Mono Arts Council Gallery and Community Arts Center by April 20. All are welcome to enter at monoarts.org.

Ongoing: Art Exhibit, ‘Winterwonderland’

Mono Arts Council presents ‘Winterwonderland.’ This Art Exhibit features various works of art related to winter scenes created by local Eastern Sierra Arts and Craftspeople. Art sales benefit Mono Arts Council. All are welcome. The Exhibit runs through April 30. Gallery hours are Thursday-monday, 12-6 p.m.

Yin Yoga, March 23, 30

Zumba classes are back at the Mammoth Lakes Community Center every Tuesday and Friday nights from 6-7 p.m. Join Coach Denisse, and get your burn and dance on at the same time. Only $10 per class.

Blue Ribbon Walk & Run, March 25

Eastern Sierra Cancer Alliance hosts the sixth annual Blue Ribbon Walk & Run for the awareness of Colorectal Cancer, March 25 with a start time of 9 a.m. This is a family oriented 5K walk or run, teams are welcome and there will be a drawing for prizes. Laws Railroad Museum, ‘Slim Princess Sisters in History 140th Anniversary,’ March 25, 26

The event will be held on March 19, 25, 26 at the Laws Railroad Museum and Historical Site from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission includes one steam ride and one Death Valley Brill ride. Knitting Circle, March 26

Knitting Circle offered at the Mono Arts Council from 4-6 p.m. Bring a project you’re currently working on, share your skills, and hang out with fellow knitters. Distant Brewing in Mammoth Lakes hosts an open mic night every Monday night from 6-9 p.m. We have guitars, amps, drums, mics, keyboards and anything else you need to get yourself up on the stage.
